This Privacy Policy describes how Charles Taylor ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the RapMaster mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

## 1. Information We Collect
### 1.1 Information You Provide
- Rap Name. During onboarding, you choose a custom rap name or nickname. This name is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
- Age Range. You select an age bracket during onboarding. This selection is stored only on your device.
- Skill Level. You select a skill level (e.g., beginner, intermediate, advanced) to personalize your training plan. This is stored only on your device.
### 1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Audio Recordings. When you use training modes (Stream of Consciousness, Cipher Training, Breathing & Stamina), the App records your voice using your device's microphone. Recordings are stored only on your device. We do not transmit, upload, or have access to your recordings at any time.
- Speech Transcriptions. The App uses Apple's on-device Speech Recognition framework to transcribe recordings for performance analysis. Transcription processing occurs on your device. We do not receive or store transcriptions on any server.
- Training Session Data. The App stores your session history, performance scores, training streaks, and earned medals on your device using local device storage. This data is never transmitted off your device.
### 1.3 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
- Your real name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
- Precise or approximate location data
- Device identifiers for advertising purposes
- Financial or payment information (see Section 4 regarding purchases)
- Any information through third-party analytics or advertising services

## 2. How We Use Your Information
All information the App collects remains on your device and is used solely to:
- Personalize your training experience and generate daily training plans
- Display your session history and performance analysis within the App
- Track your streaks, medals, and progress over time
- Provide speech-to-text analysis for performance feedback during sessions
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, send marketing communications, or share data with third parties.

## 3. How We Store Your Information
All data collected by RapMaster is stored locally on your device only, using iOS system storage (UserDefaults and the local file system). We operate no servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure that receives or stores your data.
If you delete the App, all locally stored data — including recordings, session history, and your profile — is permanently deleted from your device.

## 4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
RapMaster offers in-app purchases and subscription plans. All payment transactions are processed exclusively by Apple's App Store payment system. We do not collect, process, or store any credit card numbers, billing details, or financial information.

- Subscription management: you may manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through your Apple ID settings on your device (Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions).

## 5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
RapMaster is rated 4+ on the Apple App Store, which means children under the age of 13 may use the App. We take children's privacy seriously and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
### What we do:
- The App does not require account creation or the submission of any personal information to use its core features.
- All recordings and session data are stored locally on the device and are never transmitted to us.
- Before a user identified as under 13 years of age accesses features that involve data collection (such as microphone recording), the App displays a parental consent gate that requires a parent or guardian to review and approve the activity.
### What parents and guardians can do:
- Review all data stored by the App by accessing the Recordings and Settings screens within the App.
- Delete all stored recordings and session data by deleting the App from the device.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what is described above. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information.

## 6. Microphone and Speech Recognition Permissions
RapMaster requires access to your device's microphone and speech recognition capabilities. These permissions are used solely for recording your rap sessions and analyzing your performance within the App.
- Microphone: Used to capture audio during training sessions. Recordings remain on your device.
- Speech Recognition: Used to transcribe audio for flow and performance analysis. Apple's Speech Recognition framework processes audio on your device.
You may revoke these permissions at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security. Revoking microphone access will prevent recording features from functioning.

## 7. Third-Party Services
RapMaster does not integrate any third-party analytics platforms, advertising networks, social media SDKs, or crash-reporting services. The App operates entirely on your device without transmitting any data to external services, except as described in Section 4 (Apple's payment system).

## 8. Data Retention
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you control retention entirely:
- Recordings: Delete individual recordings from the Recordings screen within the App, or delete all data by uninstalling the App.
- Session history and profile: Deleted permanently when the App is uninstalled.
- Subscription records: Managed by Apple. Deleting the App does not cancel active subscriptions.

## 9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because RapMaster stores all data locally on your device and does not transmit personal data to us, we are generally not in a position to fulfill data access or deletion requests through our systems — you have direct control over your data through the App and your device.

## 10. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information within the App. Because all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data also depends on your device's security settings (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date.
